Creative / Passionate / and I don't have the third one 🙈

How long have you been sewing?

For 10 years!

How did sewing come into your life?

Thanks to my mom who is a seamstress.

What does sewing give you?

This is my time, it allows me to focus on a single task, to develop my creativity and to have that intense feeling of satisfaction from creating with my hands.

Music or silence when you sew?

Total silence in principle, but if I had to choose, I'd prefer music!

If you had to describe yourself through sewing, what would your keywords be?

Bohemian style, floral print, gathers and ruffles.

What is your go-to pattern from Atelier Brunette? The one you could sew again and again?

I sewed and resewed LA Chemise that I love!

What's your ideal color palette?

Warm tones reminiscent of the sun, the earth, flowers: terracotta, beige, pink…

I sewed and resewed LA Chemise that I love!

LE MANTEAU

Your favorite Atelier Brunette workshop for sewing LE Manteau?

The Black & Off White Speckled Wool for its timeless appeal.

What do you think of it?

Incredibly soft and very elegant.

Does it make you want to sew other pieces for winter?

Yes, I really want to sew myself a mini wrap skirt in a very preppy style.

Would you recommend it to a friend and why?

Without hesitation, in addition to its elegant and chic appearance, it works extremely well whether machine washed or ironed.

It was a very enjoyable sewing experience!

What detail about the woolen garment made you swoon?

The ideal weight for a perfect drape.

WATCH IT

Are you ready to face wind and snowflakes with him?

Without hesitation!

Can you tell us what inspires you about LE Manteau?

It inspires me with its androgynous silhouettes, elegance, and a touch of nonchalance with its bold details! A kind of Parisian style that I love!

What detail of the coat do you particularly like?

There are two of them: the large, deliberate collar and the tightening tabs.

If you had to give one piece of advice to those who wish to start sewing the Coat, what would it be?

Take it one step at a time, it's not rocket science, you just have to take your time and above all, enjoy yourself!

INSPIRATIONS

AND FINALLY…

In three words, describe your experience with LE Manteau Atelier Brunette .

Pleasure, satisfaction and pride!

The one you loved, and the one that was the most challenging!

The collar seam between the facing and the neckline of the coat. The result is so satisfying ☺️

What is your mantra in sewing?

Undo in order to do it again better!

And what Atelier Brunette piece is next on your sewing project list?

LA Barn Jacket is really catching my eye, and the Boyish Shirt look paired with Belted Trousers too.

Rather Canvas Or water-repellent cotton ?

I've already sewn with water-repellent cotton for LE Trench coat, so I'd say canvas for the next one ☺️
